- A Hotel Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a positive first impression while ensuring smooth front office operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Receive and manage room reservations and bookings.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and courteously.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments regarding room status.
- Monitor room availability and occupancy levels.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.
- Prepare daily reports and handover notes for incoming shifts.
- Assist in promoting hotel services and special offers.
