Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in the design, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation systems across the Company’s EPIC and Oil & Gas projects. The role ensures that assigned engineering activities are delivered safely, accurately, within project timelines and in compliance with approved specifications, standards and client requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review Electrical and Instrumentation engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, datasheets and technical documents. Provide technical support throughout project execution, including engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover. Review vendor drawings, technical submissions and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate Electrical and Instrumentation activities with other engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors and project teams. Support site installation, inspection, testing, calibration, commissioning and troubleshooting of Electrical and Instrumentation systems. Monitor assigned engineering activities against approved project schedules and promptly escalate delays, technical issues and resource requirements. Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable standards, client specifications, quality requirements and Company procedures. Identify and minimize engineering errors, rework, material wastage and avoidable project costs. Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, risk assessments, inspections and client discussions as required. Prepare technical reports, progress updates and project documentation and ensure timely closeout of outstanding engineering activities. Comply with all Company and project HSE requirements and promote safe engineering and site practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or related Engineering discipline. 3–7 years relevant experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPIC, Engineering or Construction. Strong experience in Electrical and Instrumentation engineering and project execution. Good knowledge of engineering drawings, instrumentation systems, electrical systems and commissioning activities. Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and HSE requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software. Professional certification or engineering registration is an advantage.
