Senior Finance Officer

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Finance Officer to support the company’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in financial management within the Oil & Gas, Engineering, or related industry and possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes. The role requires a proactive finance professional capable of supporting management with accurate financial analysis, cost control, cash flow management, and strategic financial insights to drive operational efficiency and business performance. Key Responsibilities Manage daily finance and accounting operations including payments, receivables, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts. Monitor company cash flow, expenses, budgets, and financial transactions to ensure financial stability and cost efficiency. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, statutory obligations, and internal financial controls. Coordinate bank reconciliations, vendor payments, invoice processing, and expense tracking. Assist in payroll review and financial documentation management. Prepare financial analysis, cost reports, and performance insights for management decision-making. Support external audits, tax audits, and regulatory financial reporting activities. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions. Work closely with management to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Engineering, or technical services sector. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, reconciliations, and financial controls. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is an added advantage. Professional certification such as ACA, ICAN, or equivalent is preferred. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Good communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
