Risk Strategist - Underwriting (Senior Role) - Hybrid

Description
- We're growing our Risk Management function and are looking for experienced professionals who can use data, strategy, and analytical thinking to strengthen our credit portfolio and drive better business decisions.
- This is a strategic, not purely operational, role.
- We're looking for professionals who can analyze trends, identify risks, and develop solutions that improve portfolio quality across the credit lifecycle.

- We're looking for a strategic thinker who can transform portfolio data into smarter lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve underwriting policies and credit decision frameworks.
- Analyze portfolio performance, default trends, and customer risk.
- Develop risk segmentation and approval strategies.
- Monitor portfolio quality (PAR, NPL, early defaults).
- Recommend policy enhancements based on data and portfolio insights.
- Partner with business teams to improve portfolio performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 - 9 years' experience in Credit Risk, Underwriting, or Portfolio Management.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and data interpretation skills.
- Banking, fintech, or financial services experience is preferred.
Salary
N1,000,000 Gross Monthly.
