Medical Officer
Westcare Specialist Hospital
Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatment plans in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
- Request, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
- Admit, review, and manage in-patients where applicable.
- Attend to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when required.
- Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records.
- Counsel patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency services.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 - 5 years experience.
