Printing Machine Operator

About the Role
- Our client is seeking an experienced and technically competent Printing Machine Operator to join its production team.
- The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating printing machines used for flexible packaging and polythene products, with a strong understanding of machine settings, colour management, print quality, production processes, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor printing machines efficiently and safely.
- Set up printing machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
- Prepare and load printing materials correctly.
- Monitor printing operations and maintain consistent print quality.
- Perform colour matching, registration, and necessary machine adjustments.
- Check printed materials for defects and ensure required quality standards are met.
- Identify and troubleshoot common printing machine and production issues.
- Minimise material waste and machine downtime.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production records and report machine faults promptly.
- Work closely with the Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and production procedures.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining required quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience operating printing machines.
- Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, or plastic manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of printing processes, machine setup, colour management, and registration.
- Ability to troubleshoot common printing machine and production issues.
- Good understanding of ink settings and print quality control.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Relevant technical qualification or certification is an added advantage.
