The Lead Mechanical/Corrosion Engineer is responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity, reliability, and corrosion control of static and rotating equipment in a gas processing plant. This role involves design, inspection, failure analysis, and corrosion mitigation for pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, and storage tanks. The engineer will develop and implement corrosion management programs, risk-based inspection (RBI), and material selection strategies to enhance plant safety and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical integrity, corrosion engineering, or asset integrity in gas processing or oil & gas industry.
• Expertise in pressure equipment, piping systems, rotating machinery, and corrosion control.
• Experience with corrosion modeling software (e.g., Honeywell Predict, Aspen, NACE ICDA, or ROSA) is a plus.
Certifications:
• NACE Certified Corrosion Specialist or AMPP Senior Corrosion Technologist.
• API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector) Certification.
• API 570 (Piping Inspector) Certification.
• API 580/581 (Risk-Based Inspection) Certification.
• ASNT Level II or III in NDT Methods (UT, PT, MT, RT, ECT).
• Professional Engineer (PE, CEng, COREN, or equivalent) certification.
