Senior Quantity Surveyor
Collection Development Limited (CDL)
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain the project cost plan from initial estimates through to the final account.
- Prepare and agree monthly interim valuations with the client's representative; submit payment applications on schedule.
- Prepare subcontract tender packages in coordination with the Commercial Manager; evaluate tenders and produce appointment recommendations.
- Manage the bill of quantities; measure all variations against the agreed schedule of rates or fair market value.
- Prepare and agree subcontractor interim payments on a monthly basis.
- Maintain the variation register; produce variation accounts for agreement with the client.
- Produce cost-to-complete forecasts and cash flow projections for the Commercial Manager.
- Manage and supervise the Site Quantity Surveyor.
- Support the Commercial Manager in the final account process.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying; NIQS or RICS membership.
- Minimum 12 years of quantity surveying experience with demonstrated experience on major residential or mixed-use construction projects in Nigeria.
Key Competencies and Personal Attributes:
- Strong measurement and valuation skills; precise and consistent.
- Good knowledge of construction costs and market rates in Lagos.
- Commercially alert; able to identify undervaluation or missed entitlements quickly.
