Pharmacist / Procurement Lead

Job Summary
- We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist / Procurement Pharmacist to manage both the professional pharmacy oversight and the procurement of pharmaceutical products and medical consumables.
- The ideal candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, cost-effective sourcing, and uninterrupted supply to support our distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Pharmacist Duties:
- Act as the in-house Pharmacist and ensure all activities comply with NAFDAC, PCN, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Review product documentation including NAFDAC registration, COA, and import permits for all procured items. Provide technical guidance on product storage, handling, and quality assurance in line with Good Distribution Practices.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of drug transactions and regulatory submissions.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source, negotiate, and procure pharmaceutical products and medical consumables from approved vendors.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and full regulatory compliance.
- Manage purchase orders, vendor documentation, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Evaluate and onboard new vendors while ensuring due diligence on quality and compliance.
Inventory & Cost Control:
- Maintain optimal stock levels and monitor product expiry to prevent stock-outs and wastage.
- Support inventory reconciliation, stock taking, and cost control initiatives.Track procurement spend and provide regular reports to Management.
Requirements
- B.Pharm / Pharm.D from a recognized institution.
- Current and valid PCN practicing license.
- 5-8years experience in pharmaceutical procurement, supply, or distribution.
- Sound knowledge of NAFDAC regulations, import processes, and pharmaceutical products.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in inventory/ERP systems and MS Excel.
Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 / month.
