Job Summary

The Cooks are responsible for preparing and presenting meals in accordance with approved recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements. The role supports efficient kitchen operations by ensuring timely meal preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals and food items according to approved recipes and specifications.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Observe strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of food products and ingredients.
  • Monitor food freshness and report shortages or quality concerns promptly.
  • Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and handling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Assist with inventory monitoring and stock requests.
  • Support kitchen operations during peak service periods.
  • Comply with all company policies, health regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Chefs and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of SSCE qualification.
  • Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or related food service environment.
  • Experience preparing a variety of local and continental dishes is desirable.

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
