Group Financial Controller

Job Summary
- Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Group Financial Controller to provide strategic financial leadership and drive financial excellence across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Group financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Oversee Group consolidation, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, reconciliations, and reporting across subsidiaries and business units.
- Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes across the Group.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify key variances, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and performance.
- Establish and strengthen robust financial controls, accounting policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across the Group.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and applicable financial reporting standards.
- Provide oversight of cash flow, working capital, liquidity, receivables, and payables, ensuring effective financial resource management.
- Coordinate Group-wide internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommended improvements.
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, regulatory submissions, and other financial obligations across the Group.
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks, strengthening controls to safeguard the Group's assets and financial integrity.
- Partner with the Group CFO, CEO, executive leadership, and business-unit leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across the Group, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Group financial reporting, consolidation, and multi-entity financial management.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, audit, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience within a large, diversified, or multi-sector organisation is highly desirable.
