Inventory / DMS Officer

About the Role
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Inventory / DMS Officer to support our warehouse and distribution operations.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, updating the DMS/inventory system, and ensuring that physical stock aligns with system records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, record and document incoming stock.
- Monitor and accurately record all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, dispatches and returns.
- Update the DMS/inventory management system in real time.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages or excesses.
- Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions.
- Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or critical inventory items.
- Ensure proper labelling, arrangement and storage of inventory.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
- Work closely with the warehouse, logistics, sales and accounts teams to ensure smooth stock movement.
- Support stock audits and inventory verification exercises.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and inventory control policies.
Requirements
- OND, HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, storekeeping or distribution operations is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with DMS, ERP or inventory management software is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping ability.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be reliable, honest and accountable.
Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 Monthly.
