Human Resource Officer

Job Summary

• The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. The role assists with recruitment, employee records, onboarding, attendance, staff communication, and other HR activities while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
• Support the onboarding and orientation of new employees.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
• Prepare HR documents, letters, contracts, reports, and other correspondence.
• Monitor employee attendance, leave, and other staff-related records.
• Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information and attendance records.
• Respond to employees’ HR-related questions and direct complex issues to the appropriate HR personnel.
• Support performance management and employee engagement activities.
• Assist in organizing staff training, meetings, and company events.
• Ensure HR files and employee information are handled securely and confidentially.
• Assist with implementation and communication of company HR policies and procedures.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, and employee-relations processes as required.
• Prepare regular HR reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Perform other administrative and HR duties assigned by the HR Manager or management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of HR practices and employment procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at different levels of the organization.
