Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Repair and replace engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, cooling, fuel, and exhaust system components.
• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, sensors, and wiring.
• Carry out periodic vehicle servicing, oil changes, brake servicing, wheel alignment, and suspension maintenance.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and quality checks before vehicles are released to customers.
• Test-drive vehicles where necessary to verify faults and confirm successful repairs.
• Ensure all repair work is properly documented and completed within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop while complying with all health and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the Service, Parts, and Inventory teams to ensure efficient service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years’ hands-on experience as an Automobile Technician in a reputable automobile dealership, workshop, or automotive service centre.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and automotive electrical systems.
• Experience working on Japanese, Korean, Chinese, European, or American vehicle brands will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic scanners and modern workshop equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
