Drip Irrigation Superintendent

Job Summary
- To oversee the entire irrigation system, ensuring efficient and effective water delivery to plants.
- To lead a team of Drip irrigation workers and collaborate with other agricultural professionals to optimize crop production and water usage.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the system installation, operation and maintenance of the drip irrigation systems.
- Develop and implement irrigation schedules based on crop needs, weather conditions, water availability, ensuring water conservation and also conducting soil assessments.
- Oversee and train irrigation workers, providing training and guidance on best practices.
- Track water usage and maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and system maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water usage and irrigation practices.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of drip irrigation equipment, including pumps, valves, filters etc.
- Collect and analyze irrigation data to assess system performance and make improvements.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any science related field
- Minimum of 1 year working experience
- Technical knowledge of operations and maintenance
