Job Brief
- We are seeking to employ a Builder who will be responsible for coordinating site activities and alsofor the interior finishing of residential and commercial buildings according to specifications and blueprints
Description
- To handle finishing works in assigned projects
- Interpret and study construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Perform various construction tasks with an eye for detail.
- Check the quality of all the materials received on site and prepare quality reports and defects, if any
- Implement and ensure maintenance of quality management systems for projects
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- To coordinate testing of materials wherever applicable and ensure specified quality standards are adhered to.
- Ensure that projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify any potential issues, and recommend solutions to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal building regulations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of an HND / B.Sc in Building
- Certification as a Builder will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing large building projects, preferably at the finishing stage
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Excellent Time management skills
- A good understanding of HSE duties
- On-site construction planning and management
- Strong Finishing background with an eye for detail
