Tractor Operator

Responsibilities
- Cultivates the land for planting i.e. Disc ploughing, Disc Harrowing and ridging.
- Carry out planting activities.
- Planting of crop and pasture at the appropriate time
- Hay making i.e. mowing, raking and baling
- Carry out silage harvesting.
- Responsible for the compaction of silage inside silage pits.
- Maize threshing
- Carry out the crop management practices (fertilizer, herbicide and insecticide application).
- Trailing silage and hay to a storage area.
- Reports tractors/equipment faults to the supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum of a secondary school leaving certificate is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tractor driving
- Must possess a valid tractor driving licence and trade test licence.
- Must be able to operate machinery and equipment
- Good interpersonal relationship skills.
- Good communication effectively.
