Job Summary
- The Head of Accounts is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the assigned location.
- The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, statutory compliance, and strong internal controls across all business units including the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all accounting operations within the branch.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop and monitor departmental and branch budgets.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and statutory deductions.
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls.
- Monitor revenue collections and investigate discrepancies.
- Support management with financial analysis and business insights.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Financial reporting and analysis.

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards.
- Tax and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership and team management.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Salary
N350,000 Gross Monthly.
