About the Role

MeWe Electronics is seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioner Technician (Factory) to join our After-Sales Service Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, diagnosis, repair, testing, and preventive maintenance of air conditioning systems and related equipment within the factory environment.

The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and repair procedures while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and operational efficiency.

Applicants must have previous working experience in the 3C's (Computer, Communication & Consumer Electronics) or Home Appliance industry, with a solid understanding of after-sales service operations, product diagnostics, preventive maintenance, technical repair processes, customer service standards, and service network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain factory air conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control system faults accurately.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
• Replace faulty components and ensure repairs comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, repair reports, and service documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Monitor the performance and efficiency of air conditioning systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new air conditioning equipment.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and After-Sales teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of tools, testing equipment, refrigerants, and spare parts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• OND, HND, Bachelor's Degree, or Technical/Vocational Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience repairing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems.
• Previous experience in the 3C's (Computer, Communication & Consumer Electronics) or Home Appliance industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, compressors, electrical controls, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and wiring schematics.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, testing instruments, and hand tools.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and fault diagnosis techniques.
• Good computer literacy for completing maintenance reports and service records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
