Job Summary
- As the Accountant, you will manage the company's financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities while ensuring accurate financial records and effective financial controls within the travel agency operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, management accounts, budgets, and periodic financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and daily financial transactions
- Reconcile airline, ticketing, vendor, and customer accounts while promptly resolving financial discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, audit, and internal financial control requirements
- Monitor expenses, revenue, and financial performance while providing timely financial information to support management decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ICAN certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, with relevant experience within a Travel Agency or Travel & Tourism business
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial controls
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience using AirBooks software is an added advantage.
Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
