Assistant Workshop Manager

Responsibilities
- Assist the Workshop Manager in planning and coordinating workshop activities.
- Supervise maintenance and repair of plant, machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor workshop operations to reduce downtime and improve equipment availability.
- Maintain maintenance records, job cards, reports, and spare-parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workshop standards.
- Supervise and mentor workshop technicians, mechanics, and apprentices.
- Support efficient spare-parts management and timely material requisition.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in workshop operations, maintenance, and repair, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and repair.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
