Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and analytical Accountant to oversee our day-to-day financial operations.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for standard bookkeeping, tax compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
• Crucially, you will collaborate with the production and warehouse teams to track manufacturing costs, manage raw material inventory valuations, and analyze variances.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory: Partner with operations to track factory raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods; calculate cost of goods sold (COGS) and perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee timely invoicing, track credit terms for retail/wholesale distributors, and manage payments to local and international packaging and raw material suppliers.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare, file, and remit all applicable statutory taxes (e.g., VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE) on time to avoid penalties.
• Payroll & Reconciliation: Manage the monthly payroll process for factory and administrative staff; perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor corporate cash flows.
• Audit Support: Maintain precise, organized digital and physical financial logs; serve as the primary internal contact for external auditors during annual financial audits.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related business discipline.
• Professional qualification or active progression toward one (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or local equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of core accounting experience, with at least 2 years specifically within a manufacturing, factory, or FMCG environment.
• High proficiency with modern ERP and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced mastery of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting techniques (Standard Costing, Variance Analysis) and local statutory tax laws.
• Strong analytical mind, impeccable integrity, strict attention to detail, and the ability to hit tight monthly deadlines.
