Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports for decision-making.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and payments.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on debt collections.
- Maintain accurate records of creditors and debtors.
- Ensure timely settlement of financial obligations.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and identify variances.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and file statutory tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards.
- Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies when required.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Audit & Internal Control
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain adequate documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll and related statutory deductions.
- Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory contributions.
- Maintain payroll records and reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle ERP).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and applicable tax regulations.
