Auditor

Job Description

• Our client is seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Auditor to review financial records, assess internal controls, ensure compliance with company policies, and promote financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Review financial records, transactions, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct regular audits to identify financial discrepancies, irregularities, and operational risks.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate internal control systems and recommend improvements to strengthen financial accountability.
• Verify expenses, payments, and financial documentation to ensure proper authorisation.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Work with relevant departments to improve financial processes and minimise errors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years' relevant experience in auditing or internal control.
• Good knowledge of auditing procedures, financial reporting, and internal control systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently, identify financial risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Must reside in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, or its surrounding environs.
