Gender Officer (Preferably Women)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gender Officer to support the integration of gender equality and social inclusion across our programs and operations.
- The Gender Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring gender-responsive initiatives, ensuring that all projects promote equal opportunities and empower women and marginalized groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement gender mainstreaming strategies across programs and organizational activities.
- Conduct gender analyses to inform program design and implementation.
- Ensure gender-responsive planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Provide technical guidance to staff on gender equality and social inclusion.
- Support the development of policies, tools, and frameworks that promote gender equity.
- Design and facilitate gender training and capacity-building sessions for staff and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on gender-related indicators and program outcomes.
- Support advocacy initiatives that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure gender considerations are integrated into project implementation.
- Prepare periodic reports and documentation on gender initiatives and impact.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in gender programming, social inclusion, or development projects.
- Strong understanding of gender equality frameworks and policies.
- Experience in conducting gender analysis and gender-responsive program design.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
