Sales Agents
Polo - Cico Farms and Estate Limited (5 Openings)
Role Purpose
- To develop and manage customer relationships, generate profitable sales, and achieve agreed sales targets while following company policies on account ownership, pricing, credit, collections, stock availability, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop prospective customers within the assigned territory.
- Manage assigned accounts and maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records.
- Coordinate with management on strategic accounts and follow the company’s customer ownership arrangements.
- Prepare quotations and take orders using approved price lists and minimum margin requirements.
- Obtain management approval before offering discounts or other non-standard terms.
- Follow the company’s credit policy and do not offer unauthorised credit.
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding invoices in coordination with the relevant team.
- Confirm product availability and delivery capacity with the appropriate teams before committing to orders. This includes production, slaughter or harvest, packaging, cold storage, and transport, as applicable.
- Communicate order requirements and delivery arrangements clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Track sales, collections, customer demand, order sizes, route costs, and margins.
- Provide regular sales updates and report customer feedback, market changes, and delivery issues.
- Participate in reviews of territory performance and recommend changes where actual demand, costs, or margins differ from expectations.
Qualification
- HND/B.Sc in any related field with at least 5 years in sales of Agricultural products like frozen chicken, catfish, vegetable of any FMCG.
