Malaria Consortium

Purpose

  • To engage key short-term consultants who will translate messages from English into English, Ebira, Igala, and Yoruba, develop and finalize graphic designs, and produce audio and video messages in four language English, Ebira, Igala, and Yoruba in support of the ITN distribution project in the FCT.

Rationale for the Consultancy

  • The assignment is justified by the need to translate messages for print materials and audio/video scripts English, Ebira, Igala, and Yoruba; develop graphic designs for print materials; and produce audio and video messages in four language versions: English, Ebira, Igala, and Yoruba.
  • The majority of the target population are either low-literate or non-literate, hence the need to produce communication materials in appropriate local languages for the target audience.

Specific Task, Deliverables and Person Specification:
Tasks for Photographer
The selected photographer will;

  • Identify a professional photographer in each focal state and develop contract
  • Cover the entire photographs of the selected models for the different print material: Posters, Leaflets, Faze Caps, Apron, Banners; Charts, Announcers Cards.
  • Edit electronic photo images as may be directed by the relevant MC ITN team members.
  • Save the digital photo images electronically in external drives (CDs/ flash drives) marked by location and by any other category, as directed MC SMC team members
  • Deliver two (2) copies of each External Flash drive of photo images to MC office Abuja.

Deliverable for Photographer

  • A set of approved campaign photographs selected by Kogi -SMEP and MC, edited as required, and saved in two sets of flash drives for Kogi -SMEP and MC.

Person Specification Photographer

  • Evidence of at least five years’ experience in professional photography; experience working with international organizations or public health projects is an advantage.
  • Ownership of a professional digital camera and appropriate accessories that meet current industry standards.
  • Capacity to use computers for editing, organizing and documenting images, including proficiency in relevant photo editing software.
