Logistics / Fleet Coordinator

Job Description

• To oversee and optimize the company’s vehicle leasing operations, ensuring efficient allocation, utilization, and maintenance of fleet assets in line with operational and client requirements.
• The role involves vendor management, contract administration, logistics coordination, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Leasing Management:

• Coordinate the leasing, allocation, and return of vehicles for company operations and client projects, ensuring availability and reliability.

Vendor & Contract Administration:

• Source, evaluate, and manage leasing vendors and service providers; negotiate lease agreements and ensure contract compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Operational Coordination:

• Plan and schedule vehicle deployment in alignment with project and logistics needs, ensuring timely delivery and minimal downtime.

Maintenance Oversight:

• Monitor vehicle performance, coordinate servicing, repairs, and inspections to ensure safety and optimal operation of leased vehicles.

Cost Control:

• Track leasing expenses, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs; identify opportunities to reduce operational and leasing costs.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to transport regulations, company policies, insurance requirements, and safety standards. Maintain accurate vehicle and lease documentation.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular reports on vehicle utilization, leasing performance, costs, and vendor performance for management review.

Key Requirements
Education:

• B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5–6 years’ experience in logistics, fleet management, or vehicle leasing operations—preferably within the oil & gas, construction, or related sector.

Technical Knowledge:

• Understanding of vehicle leasing contracts, fleet operations, vendor management, and relevant transport regulations.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics and fleet management software.
• Strong analytical and cost management skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting ability.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, procurement, and finance teams.

Other:

• Proven experience in managing large or specialized vehicle fleets.
• Knowledge of HSE standards related to transport operations.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor location.
