Head Teacher

A Private School in Ketu is in need of a qualified Head Teacher to manage the school affairs. Only candidates residing within Ketu or it's close environs should apply. Duties:

• Creating an academic programme for pupils that meets required standards
• Devising and Implementing a growth plan for the school focused on multiplication and academic excellence.
• Interfacing with parents in a manner that builds trust and fosters a sense of belonging
• Maintaining discipline amongst school staff
• Heading the planning and hosting of School events.
• Using data to track overall school performance and produce reports that give insights to guide in decision making.
• Management of school finances
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required and reporting to proprietors.
• Helping assess pupils’ needs and tracking their developmental progress.
• Selecting, training, supporting and assessing staff to maintain and achieve excellence
• Providing guidance to staff to help resolve issues with pupils and parents.
• Playing a supervisory and role to ensure all expected activities are carried out across all departments and in timely

manner.

• Working and Coordinating with external advisors and other entities that interface with the school
• Oversight functions relating to school.

Skills/Qualification:

• Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Science
• NCE Qualification
• Candidate Must reside within Ketu or very close environs
• Experience working as a Teacher in a school
• Several years of experience as a Deputy Head or Senior Manager of a school
• Business management skills
• Transparency, flexibility and sense of duty
• Leadership skills and sense of responsibility
• Computer appreciation skills: Power point, Excel, Word
• The ability to teach and design courses
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• The ability to work well with others
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
