Production Manager

About the Role

• Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee production operations and ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing or production, with proven supervisory or managerial experience. Experience within food processing, agricultural processing, or a similar industrial environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Manage factory operations and ensure production processes are carried out effectively.
• Coordinate the effective utilisation of production resources to optimise productivity and minimise waste.
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and manage production teams, providing effective leadership and direction.
• Ensure machinery and production equipment are properly maintained and operational.
• Work closely with relevant teams to address production issues and minimise downtime.
• Ensure production activities comply with quality control requirements and applicable HSE standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production reports and relevant operational records.
• Identify and resolve operational and production-related challenges promptly.
• Ensure production targets and operational objectives are achieved efficiently.

Requirements

• B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production, with proven supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience in food processing, agricultural processing, or a similar industrial environment is highly desirable.
• Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in production planning, factory operations, resource management, and cost reduction.
• Good understanding of machinery maintenance, quality control, and HSE compliance.
• Strong leadership, team management, continuous improvement, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting tools.
• Candidates should be based in Agbara, Ogun State, or its immediate environs, given the location and shift requirements of the role.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Saturday, with shift work (including night shifts)
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Sunday: Overtime, either 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Benefit

• Salary: N400,000 – N500,000 per month
• Lunch
• Sunday overtime
