MEP Engineer

Job Description

• This role is ideal for a technically sound engineer who can ensure MEP installations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across multiple construction sites.
• Review MEP drawings and specifications to ensure installations comply with approved designs.
• Coordinate MEP contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure adherence to engineering and project standards.
• Ensure timely execution and completion of all MEP works in line with project schedules.
• Review and approve MEP materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Identify and resolve MEP-related technical issues promptly.
• Supervise installation activities, testing, commissioning, and system handover.
• Prepare accurate project-specific MEP progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.

• MEP works completed within schedule: ≥95%
• Installation quality compliance: 100%
• Testing and commissioning success: 100%
• Snag resolution within 3 working days
• Contractor performance: ≥90%
• Reporting compliance: 100%
• Safety compliance: 100%
• Client approval rate: 100%

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in MEP engineering within the construction industry.
• Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is required.
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is required.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for residential and commercial developments.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting MEP installations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and project reporting tools is an added advantage.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 / Month.
