About the Role
- Supports the delivery of dental care by assisting dental practitioners, preparing the clinical environment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities
- Assist dental practitioners chairside during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, instruments and materials.
- Apply decontamination and infection prevention standards.
- Support patient comfort, safety and records.
Requirements
Education:
- A recognised qualification in dental nursing or dental surgery assisting, or equivalent recognised training.
- Completion of any required internship / registration training, where applicable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant dental nursing / support experience; newly qualified dental nurses may be considered.
- Post-registration experience in dental nursing practice. Experience working within a multidisciplinary hospital team relevant to dental nursing.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of dental nursing practice and chairside support.
- Competence in decontamination and infection prevention.
- Understanding of dental materials and instruments.
- Accurate record-keeping.
- Effective communication with patients and the dental team.
