Pellet Mill Operator (Feed Mill)

About the Role
- We are seeking experienced Pellet Mill Operators to join our feed production team. The ideal candidates must have hands-on experience operating pellet mills in a commercial animal feed manufacturing environment. Candidates from industries outside feed milling will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor pellet mill machines to produce high-quality animal feed pellets.
- Set up and adjust pellet mill equipment to achieve required pellet quality and production targets.
- Monitor steam conditioning, temperature, moisture levels, and die performance during production.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance of pellet mill equipment.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production and machine operation records.
- Follow all health, safety, and company operating procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
- ND or HND in a relevant field.
- 5–10 years' experience operating pellet mills in an animal feed manufacturing company.
- Feed mill experience is mandatory.
- Experience working with reputable feed manufacturers (e.g., Karma Agric or similar feed mill companies) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of pellet mill operations, steam conditioning, pellet quality, and machine troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
