Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess surfaces to determine appropriate preparation methods, including removal of mold, stains, and repair of damaged areas.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by filling cracks and holes, sanding, and applying primers and sealers to ensure optimal finish and durability.
- Execute interior and exterior painting works, including façade applications, using ladders and scaffolding where required.
- Apply paints, putty, and specialized coatings with precision, including spray painting across surfaces such as walls, wood, metal, doors, windows, and ceilings.
- Carry out surface preparation and finishing techniques including POP works, screeding, and gloss applications to achieve high-quality results.
- Protect surrounding areas by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures with appropriate materials such as nylon sheets and masking tape.
- Demonstrate strong communication, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and safety awareness in all assigned tasks.
Relevant work experience / Qualification
- Hold at least an HND/OND qualification or a relevant Trade Test certification.
- 3-5 years of experience in painting and surface preparation, preferably with 5-8 years of professional experience.
- Ability to mix and apply several types of paint, including Oil paint, Emulsion Paint, Enamel Paint, Bituminous Paint, Aluminium Paint, Anti-Corrosive Paint, Synthetic Rubber Paint, Cement Paint, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
