Role Description

• The Team Lead Business Development and Marketing role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nigeria.
• The individual in this role will lead the development and execution of business growth and marketing strategies, identify new market opportunities, and build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Day-to-day tasks include managing sales pipelines, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, overseeing marketing campaigns (digital and traditional), and coordinating brand-building initiatives for the firm’s training and consulting services.
• The team lead will also supervise junior team members, track performance metrics, provide reports to management, and collaborate with subject-matter experts to align service offerings with market needs.

Qualifications

• Business development skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and sales strategy.
• Marketing skills such as campaign planning, brand management, and basic digital marketing (social media, email, and content marketing).
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with clear, professional written and verbal skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills to interpret market data, identify growth opportunities, and support decision-making.
• Team leadership and people management skills, including mentoring, performance oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Relevant experience in professional services, training, or consulting environments is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CIM, PMP) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in common office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite) and familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms is preferred.
