Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Electrical Engineer to join our engineering firm.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems within our building and infrastructure projects.
- You will ensure that all electrical designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and control systems for construction projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and electrical layouts using AutoCAD or other design software.
- Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project teams to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on site.
- Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Evaluate contractor bids, materials, and equipment specifications.
- Inspect completed installations and issue reports, as-built drawings, and certifications.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during construction or maintenance phases.
- Provide technical support, cost estimation, and value engineering input during project planning and execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, installation, and supervision within the construction industry.
- Professional certification or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, or similar electrical design software.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, grounding, fire alarms, and low voltage systems.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
