Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil and criminal litigation matters before courts and tribunals.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, contracts and legal opinions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
- Attend court proceedings, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution sessions.
- Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare witness statement.
- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and litigation risks.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- LL.B and B.L. qualifications.
- Must be called to Nigerian Bar and possess a valid Practising Licence
- Minimum of 5-10years' post-call litigation experience
- Excellent legal drafting, advocacy, and research skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
