Facility Manager

Job Summary

• The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of multiple estates under the company's management.
• The successful candidate will ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards while leading facility teams, managing service providers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily management and maintenance of residential and commercial estates.
• Supervise and manage Facility Officers, Site Engineers, Technicians, Security personnel, and other operational staff.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for all estate infrastructure and facilities.
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, water treatment, sewage, and other building systems.
• Manage facility budgets, maintenance costs, procurement, and vendor contracts.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and third-party service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
• Conduct routine inspections of estates and prepare comprehensive inspection reports.
• Ensure prompt resolution of residents' complaints and service requests.
• Develop and enforce facility management policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for Management.
• Monitor health, safety, environmental, and statutory compliance across all managed estates.
• Lead emergency response planning and coordinate incident management when required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, estate associations, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Facilities Management, Architecture, or any related discipline.
• Professional certification (COREN, NSE, IFMA, BIFM, NIESV, or related professional body) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in facility or estate management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of estate operations, facility maintenance, project coordination, and vendor management.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and facility management best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple estates simultaneously.
