Welder

Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal structures, pipelines, vessels, and equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, fabrication sketches, and technical specifications. Prepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning materials before welding. Inspect weld joints and ensure completed work meets quality standards and project specifications. Perform cutting operations using oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment. Carry out minor fabrication work, including fitting, alignment, and assembly of structural components. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in good working condition. Identify and report defects in materials, equipment, or completed welds.
