Job Summary
- We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Sales Development Specialist to drive customer acquisition, business growth, and revenue generation for our banking products and services.
- The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with prospective and existing customers, promote relevant banking products, and consistently achieve assigned sales and acquisition targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new customer acquisition opportunities within assigned territories.
- Promote and sell banking products and services, including savings/current accounts, loans, cards, digital banking solutions, and other financial products.
- Generate leads through field sales, referrals, networking, corporate visits, market activations, and other business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Understand customers' financial needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
- Follow up on leads and prospects to convert opportunities into active customers.
- Drive account opening, customer activation, deposits, transactions, and other relevant acquisition metrics.
- Cross-sell and upsell suitable banking products to existing customers.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on sales activities and performance.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers, emerging opportunities, and competitive trends.
- Meet and exceed assigned individual and team sales targets.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with the bank's customer onboarding and KYC requirements.
- Work closely with branch teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, prospects, and conversions.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline development, customer acquisition, and target achievement.
- Represent the bank professionally during sales campaigns, market activations, and customer engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in any field.
- 2–3 years of relevant sales, business development, customer acquisition, or relationship management experience.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and customer acquisition processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong prospecting and lead-generation abilities.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/sales tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to carry out field sales activities and engage customers within assigned territories.
Salary
N150,000 monthly.
