Experienced Eatery Operations Manager

Job Summary

• To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-oriented Eatery Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our food business, drive operational excellence, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• The Eatery Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operations of Spesa Food, ensuring efficient kitchen and front-of-house activities, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, optimizing costs, increasing sales, and leading a high-performing team.
• The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of successfully managing restaurant or eatery operations and possess excellent leadership, operational, and business management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the eatery, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
• Develop and implement operational procedures that improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness every day.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, supervise, coach, and motivate kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower for each shift.
• Conduct regular staff training on customer service, food safety, hygiene, and operational excellence.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and performance-driven work culture.

Food Quality & Customer Experience:

• Ensure meals are consistently prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and supplier coordination.
• Monitor food costs, portion control, and wastage to maximize profitability.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items and ingredients.
• Work with the procurement team to maintain adequate stock levels.

Financial & Business Performance:

• Monitor daily sales, operational expenses, and profitability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports.
• Develop strategies to increase customer traffic, improve sales, and enhance profitability.
• Identify business opportunities and recommend initiatives to grow revenue.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, dining area, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• 4–6 years experience managing the operations of a busy restaurant, eatery, quick-service restaurant (QSR), or hospitality business.
• Demonstrated experience managing both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management, food costing, and customer service.
• Experience supervising and developing teams.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and restaurant POS systems.
• Ability to analyze operational reports and make data-driven decisions.
• Must reside in Ikorodu or be willing to commute daily.
