Business Development Specialist

SmartStream Outsourcing Limited

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Specialist to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, support revenue growth, and convert leads into long-term client relationships.
  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that increase market presence and profitability.
  • You will serve as the bridge between market opportunities and our product or service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Generate leads through networking, market research, referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop growth strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close business deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
  • Experience in B2B sales or corporate relationship management is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good presentation and proposal-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • Hybrid or onsite work arrangement, depending on company policy.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
