Job title : Research Technician II
Job Location : Oyo Deadline : June 12, 2026 Quick Recommended LinksDUTIES:
- Drive within and outside IITA, convey staff and casual to and from field.
- Supervise subordinate staff, Polytechnic and College of Agriculture students on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
- Assist in planning and establishment of laboratory, screenhouse and field trials and data collection
- Assist in data collection and Trial management.
- Perform screenhouse trial management and making crosses.
- Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION:
- OND in Crop Production, Agricultural Science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must have:
- Basic knowledge of crop management operations in experimental fields.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure.
- Good interpersonal relationships with other colleagues.
- Good time management.
- Knowledge of cowpea crosses.
