Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Truck Force Supervisor to oversee tyre inspection, maintenance, servicing, and fleet tyre management activities in Kano.
- The ideal candidate must have strong practical experience in tyre inspection and maintenance, particularly within commercial trucks, buses, fleet operations, tyre service companies, tyre manufacturers/distributors, or related heavy-duty/industrial tyre environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wheel and tyre inspections on commercial vehicles and fleet assets.
- Perform regular fleet tyre inspections and identify signs of wear, damage, improper inflation, alignment issues, irregular tread wear, and other tyre-related problems.
- Carry out scrap tyre inspections and determine reasons for tyre failure, damage, or premature removal.
- Identify and diagnose tyre-related maintenance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide practical tyre maintenance and service support to customers and fleet operators.
- Train customer personnel and drivers on proper tyre maintenance, inspection, inflation, rotation, and handling practices.
- Conduct product and tyre performance evaluations and provide feedback based on field observations.
- Monitor tyre performance, usage, wear patterns, mileage, and failure rates across customer fleets.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team during customer visits, product presentations, and technical discussions.
- Gather and report relevant competitor, product, pricing, and market information.
- Lead the Truck Force team and coordinate daily tyre inspection and service activities.
- Plan and supervise Truck Force operations and ensure effective service delivery.
- Coordinate fleet tyre operations and maintain accurate records of tyre inspections, services, replacements, and performance.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of tyre-related activities and findings.
- Perform other duties related to tyre and fleet technical operations as assigned.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of practical experience in tyre maintenance, tyre inspection, fleet tyre operations, or tyre servicing.
- Strong hands-on experience inspecting and maintaining tyres on commercial trucks and buses.
- Practical knowledge of tyre wear patterns, tyre damage, tyre failures, inflation pressure, tyre rotation, wheel inspection, and basic tyre maintenance procedures.
- Experience working with fleet operators, transport companies, truck/bus operators, tyre service companies, tyre manufacturers, or tyre distributors is highly desirable.
- Experience supervising field/service personnel or a technical team will be an advantage.
- Experience in OTR, industrial, commercial, or heavy-duty tyre operations is an added advantage.
