AI Prompt Engineer / LX Architect

Description

• We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented AI Prompt Engineer / LX Architect with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic team in the Nile Digital Education Department.
• The AI Prompt Engineer / L X Architect will design and engineer AI-powered learning experiences, architecting how generative AI and large language models are woven into curricula and platform features, and continuously refining prompts for quality, safety, and pedagogical soundness.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and refine prompts for AI/LLM-powered features (tutoring assistants, content generation, adaptive assessment).
• Architect end-to-end learning experience (LX) flows that integrate AI capabilities into curriculum and platform.
• Collaborate with learning designers, engineers, and data scientists to translate learning objectives into AI-driven interactions.
• Run structured prompt experimentation and A/B testing to improve relevance, accuracy, and safety of AI outputs.
• Build and maintain a prompt library, guidelines, and best-practice documentation for consistent AI behavior.
• Monitor AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and pedagogical soundness; design and implement guardrails.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, GPT) into learning products.
• Track advances in generative AI and evaluate new tools/models for learning applications.
• Train and support other team members on prompt engineering practices and tools.
• Monitor performance of AI-enabled learning solutions and continuously optimize them.

Educational and Professional Qualification (s) required for this position

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Computer Science, Education Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Instructional Technology, Education, Data Science, UX/Learning Experience Design or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional/learning experience design, with 1+ years hands-on with LMs or prompt engineering.
• Strong understanding of learning theory, UX design principles, and the capabilities/limitations of generative AI.
• Experience designing and testing prompts and AI workflows.
• Knowledge of instructional design and learner experience principles.
• Familiarity with APIs, automation tools or no-code/low-code AI platforms are advantageous.
