Job Summary

• The successful candidate will support the school's day-to-day financial operations, including financial record keeping, fee monitoring, payroll support, budgeting, expense tracking, reconciliation, and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial and accounting records.
• Record daily income, expenses, payments, and transactions.
• Monitor students' school fee payments and outstanding balances.
• Issue and maintain proper receipts, invoices, and payment documentation.
• Assist with preparation and processing of staff payroll.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management.
• Monitor school expenses and ensure proper documentation of expenditures.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring departmental budgets.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
• Identify and report financial discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain an organised filing system for financial documents.
• Support the preparation of accounts and other financial statements.
• Ensure financial information is handled with strict confidentiality.
• Work closely with management and other departments to ensure effective financial administration.
• Perform other duties assigned by the school management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial administration.
• Experience working in a school or educational institution is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of accounting software is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
