Role Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Turbine/Boiler Engineer with 4–6 years of professional experience to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of turbine and boiler systems to ensure reliable energy supply for mining activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Boiler operation: Manage daily operations of industrial boilers, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Turbine maintenance: Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on turbines to minimize downtime.
- Performance monitoring: Track system performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
- Safety compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in turbine/boiler systems.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with mining operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to support production goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related fields
- 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience with turbine and boiler systems in heavy industry (preferably mining or energy).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Familiarity with industrial safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with energy efficiency optimization.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
