Forensic Technology Analyst (Digital & Data Forensics)

Role Overview

• The Forensic Technology Analyst will support digital investigations, financial data analytics, and electronic evidence review.
• The role involves using data tools and forensic techniques to detect fraud, analyses anomalies, and support investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic analysis of financial and transactional data.
• Analyze large datasets to detect fraud patterns, anomalies, and irregular activity.
• Support electronic discovery (e-discovery) and digital evidence collection.
• Extract and interpret data from financial systems and databases.
• Develop analytical models to support fraud detection and risk analysis.
• Use data visualization tools to present investigative findings.
• Support forensic investigations involving emails, logs, and digital records.
• Assist in preparing technical forensic reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with forensic accountants and legal teams on investigation cases.
• Ensure integrity and security of digital evidence.

Requirements
Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Pure Science, Medicine, Forensic technology, Artificial Intelligence or related fields (minimum 2:1).
• 2 - 6 years’ experience in data analytics, IT audit, forensic technology, or related roles.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Understanding of databases and structured data analysis.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data analysis languages.
• Experience in digital forensics, IT audit, or cybersecurity investigations.
• Familiarity with forensic tools (e.g., IDEA, ACL, ENCASE, CELLEBRITE or equivalent).
• Exposure to fraud detection or AML analytics.
