About the Role
- We are looking to engage a detailed, analytical, and process-driven individual to serve as an Accountant.
- This role is ideal for a Finance or Accounting graduate who possesses a strong grasp of financial principles, numerical accuracy, and internal controls.
- The successful candidate will manage daily financial transactions, prepare accurate reports, reconcile accounts, maintain compliance, and support budgeting processes.
- You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills, and demonstrate high integrity when handling sensitive financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform routine bank reconciliations, vendor balance checks, and monitor accounts payable/receivable.
- Process payroll, manage tax computations, and ensure timely filing and remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension).
- Assist in budget formulation, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and ledger entries in the accounting software for audit readiness.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
- ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ACCA certification (or ongoing professional stages) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years Post-NYSC experience in core accounting, auditing, or financial management operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws, statutory compliance, and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Location Preference:
- Applicants should reside within or around Ojota, Ikeja, Ketu, Palmgrove, Maryland, Gbagada, Oworonshoki, Yaba, Bariga, Oshodi, Ilupeju, Mushin, or nearby areas in Lagos.
Compensation
N250,000 / month
