Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary
- BioRapid Laboratory is seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory results.
- Adhere to quality assurance and quality control protocols.
- Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory specimens and reagents.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection prevention standards.
- Participate in equipment validation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS).
- Current practicing licence issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1–3 years post-qualification experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility (experience in diagnostics is an added advantage).
- Sound knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
- Ability to operate modern laboratory equipment and diagnostic analyzers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicants must reside within Karu, Kurudu, Jikwoyi, Nyanya, Mararaba, Masaka, Orozo, or Karshi axis.
